It's So Simple!

Even children and elderly can use it.

PLUG IT IN

Plug the Backup Light into any standard wall outlet in your home. The retractable plug folds right into the back of the unit. No tools. No setup. No wiring.

AUTOMATIC PROTECTION

When the power goes out, the Backup Light turns on automatically. No buttons to press. No switches to flip. Light is there the instant your family needs it.

CARRY IT ANYWHERE

Pull it off the wall during an outage and it stays lit. Walk it to a dark hallway, hand it to a grandchild, or set it on the kitchen counter. One light handles whatever the night throws at you.

Why Do First Responders Recommend These?

🚨 Alarming Fact: Every year, thousands of Americans are seriously injured in the dark. Falls. Burns. Collisions. Emergency responders see these injuries firsthand after storms, fires, and blackouts. And almost all of them are preventable.

Most home accidents during power outages happen in the first few minutes, when people are rushing around in total darkness trying to find a flashlight with dead batteries. That is when people trip. That is when people fall down stairs. That is when panic takes over and mistakes happen.

Keeping a Prepared Hero Backup Light plugged in throughout your home is one of the simplest decisions you can make for your family. The second the power fails, the light is already there. No fumbling. No delay. No danger. Everyone, from young grandchildren to elderly parents, can see clearly and move safely without doing a single thing.

It is so simple that families are putting them in every critical room. Bedrooms so no one wakes up to frightening darkness. Hallways so no one takes a fall. Kitchens so you can stay calm and functional. And because it detaches from the wall, you have a portable flashlight available in every room where one is plugged in.

Have a Question? We Can Help!

How long does the battery last during a power outage?

The Prepared Hero Backup Light gives you up to 3 hours of LED light after the power goes out. That is enough time to get through most outages, wait out a storm, and keep your family safe and calm until the power comes back.

Do I have to do anything to charge the battery?

No. The battery charges automatically any time the unit is plugged in. As long as it is plugged into a working outlet, it is always ready. You never have to think about it or check it.

Will it fit in any wall outlet?

Yes. The Backup Light has a built-in plug that fits any standard 120V wall outlet in the US. Just press it in like a night light and it is ready to go.

Can I use it as a flashlight during an outage?

Yes. Just pull it off the wall outlet during a blackout and it keeps glowing. Carry it room to room, set it on a table, or hand it to a child or elderly parent. It works as a portable light as long as the battery has a charge.

Where in my home should I put these?

The best spots are hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, and the kitchen. These are the rooms where people move around most during an outage. Covering every critical room means everyone in your home has light right where they need it.

Is it safe to leave plugged in all the time?

Yes. The Backup Light is designed to stay plugged in continuously. It functions as a soft night light, charges its internal battery, and switches to emergency mode the instant the power fails. It is built for always-on use.

Is this a good gift for elderly parents or grandparents?

It is one of the most practical safety gifts you can give. There is nothing to learn, nothing to set up again, and nothing to maintain. Plug it in once and it protects them automatically. Many of our customers order multi-packs specifically to set them up at a parent's or grandparent's home.

Where does it ship from? How long does delivery take?

Prepared Hero ships from within the United States. Most orders arrive within the standard delivery window shown at checkout. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
