Have A Question? We Can Help!

Where does it ship from? How long does delivery take?

The Prepared Hero™ Fireproof Apron ships from our US warehouse. Most orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order has shipped.

What if I'm not satisfied with my purchase?

We stand behind everything we sell. If you are not completely satisfied for any reason, contact our customer service team within 30 days and we will refund your purchase or exchange the product. No complicated process, no questions asked.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Our checkout is protected by 256-bit SSL encryption, the same standard used by major banks. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

How does the quick-release fire blanket function actually work?

Two red tabs are sewn into the neck and waist of the apron. Pull both tabs firmly and the apron releases from your body in one motion. You are now holding a flat fire-resistant blanket rated to 1,100°F, ready to be placed over any small fire to smother it. No tools, no strength required, and no instructions to follow under pressure.

Where should I keep this when I'm not using it?

Hang it near your stove or grill using the included hook, the same way you would hang a potholder or oven mitt. It should be within arm's reach of wherever you cook most often. The goal is to have it on your body the moment you start cooking, not stored in a drawer.

What are the apron and straps actually made of, and what are the confirmed specs?

The apron body is double-sided silicone coated fiberglass, rated to withstand temperatures up to 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit. The neck and waist straps are aramid fiber, the same fiber family used in professional firefighter turnout gear. The apron measures 27 inches wide by 32.25 inches tall and weighs 0.7 pounds.

I already have a Prepared Hero™ Emergency Fire Blanket. How does this fit into my existing setup?

Your mounted fire blanket and your Fireproof Apron do different jobs. The blanket on your wall is your response tool once a fire has already started and you need to reach for something. The Fireproof Apron is already on your body while you cook, which means in most kitchen fire scenarios, your response tool is already in your hands before you have even processed what is happening. They work together, not in place of each other.

How many should I get to cover my full setup?

One for the primary cook in the household is the essential starting point. Many of our customers order two or three: one for themselves, one for a daughter or daughter-in-law who cooks for her own family, and one as a gift for a husband or son who manages the grill. The 3-pack and 6-pack tiers offer the best per-unit value if you are buying for more than one kitchen.
